Community Outreach

We believe that the best gift we can offer our community is to be the church that proclaims and lives out the Good News of Jesus Christ. Whether reading to elementary classes in the local school system, baking and delivering cookies to the Fire & Police officers, coaching a recreational sports team, building a wheelchair ramp, replacing appliances at the local shelter for abused women, providing socks to nursing home patients, or picking up trash during the city’s Rid Litter Day, First Stuttgart members of all ages are involved throughout the year showing God’s love to people in our community. We believe such as acts of kindness in Jesus’ name with no strings attached will transform our community for God’s glory!

In addition to these activities, our community outreach strategy for 2010 includes focusing our attention on one particular neighborhood in our city known as the “New Addition.” Monthly outreach events are being planned to help First Stuttgart members build relationships with “New Addition” residents, break down racial barriers and show the love of God.

We are unsure where this focus will take us or what obstacles we will face, but we are confident that God is going before us to lead the way. We are committed to taking the love of Jesus to our city one neighborhood at a time!
